About The Position
Join a mission-driven team where your work directly impacts lives. We are seeking an IRL Technologist to perform advanced donor and patient testing, interpret results, and provide consultative support to hospitals and transfusion services.
Requirements
- MT(ASCP) with a Bachelor’s in biological science or chemistry
- 3+ years of related experience OR MLT(ASCP) with 5+ years in blood banking
- State license may be required where applicable
- Strong written/verbal communication and team skills
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs
- Standing, bending, and working in cold storage for extended periods
- Use of personal protective equipment required
Nice To Haves
- BB(ASCP) or SBB certification
- Experience in a reference laboratory setting
Responsibilities
- Perform manual and automated testing on blood samples
- Resolve complex compatibility issues
- Consult with external medical staff to provide specialized units
- Manage blood sample logistics and reagent inventory
- Identify and troubleshoot irregularities in testing procedures
- May perform manufacturing of special blood products
