About The Position

The IRA Specialist position at Qualified Trust Company (QTC) is an entry-level role designed for recent college graduates or professionals seeking a career change. This full-time, non-exempt position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing employees to work from home three days a week and in the office two days a week. The role involves managing distribution requests, handling participant inquiries, and ensuring accurate account funding and communication with plan sponsors and vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• No experience required
• Working knowledge or ability to quickly grasp concepts of rollover IRAs and trust company functions
• Ability to use a personal computer and proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision
• Superior organizational and prioritization skills

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual speaking a plus
• Knowledge of modern office procedures and methods including telephone communications, office systems, and record keeping
• Knowledge of modern business communication, including style and format of letters, emails, memorandums, minutes, and reports
• Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to multi-task

Responsibilities

• Prepare distribution packages to account holders
• Establish new accounts and confirm correct and timely funding
• Update account holders, TPA partners, management, and plan sponsors on requests and progress
• Establish solid working relationships with all vendors and plan sponsors
• Reconcile accounts and investigate unexpected deposits
• Answer phone calls and emails from IRA holders
• Perform other related duties as required
