Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. Saber serves clients locally, nationally, and abroad. Saber Power Services seeks a Compliance Administrator to support the Company’s IRA (Inflation Reduction Act) recordkeeping and reporting. This role will be based in our Houston office located on Space Center near Ellington Field. Position Summary: The IRA (Inflation Reduction Act) Compliance Lead is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely entry of data related to the Inflation Reduction Act’s recordkeeping and reporting requirements. This role involves managing large volumes of information regarding prevailing wages, registered apprenticeships, and compliance with federal regulations. This role requires frequent interfacing with the Owner or Owner’s Third-Party consultants to ensure mutual agreement on reporting and recordkeeping requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, proficiency in data management software, and experience in a compliance-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience in construction compliance, labor compliance, regulatory compliance, project controls, or EPC project administration.
  • Demonstrated experience working with federal compliance requirements, including prevailing wage and apprenticeship programs.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), IRS/Treasury guidance, and related Final Regulations.
  • Experience managing compliance data, documentation, and reporting within electronic compliance or payroll tracking systems.
  • Proven ability to interface with owners, third-party auditors, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in handling certified payrolls, wage determinations, and apprenticeship documentation.
  • Ability to identify compliance risks, exercise sound judgment, and escalate issues appropriately to leadership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with Owner-designated third-party compliance consultants, proactively addressing inquiries and resolving compliance-related concerns.
  • Identify, assess, and escalate potential compliance risks or issues to executive leadership when matters may conflict with Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) requirements or Final Regulations.
  • Oversee the accurate entry, maintenance, and validation of project compliance data, including labor hours, wage rates, apprenticeship participation, and workforce classifications, within designated compliance tracking systems.
  • Maintain comprehensive and auditable records demonstrating subcontractor and contractor adherence to IRA reporting, recordkeeping, and prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements.
  • Ensure all data entries, documentation, and reporting activities align with IRA Final Regulations and applicable federal guidance.
  • Review, upload, and manage supporting documentation, including certified payroll records, fringe benefit statements, apprenticeship certifications, and related compliance materials.
  • Manage wage determinations within compliance systems while ensuring the confidentiality, security, and proper handling of sensitive personal identifiable information (PII) and sensitive PII (SPII).
  • Prepare, review, and submit accurate and timely IRA compliance reports, ensuring all submissions meet federal and owner-mandated requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with internal Compliance, Project Controls, Construction, and Payroll teams to ensure timely and complete submission of all required compliance documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement of compliance processes and perform other related duties as assigned by management.
