About The Position

Corewell Health is offering up to a $3500 sign-on bonus to external hires and internal new grads currently in a student role. The Special Procedure Tech provides direct care pre, intra, and post for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures to assist physicians and delivers quality patient/family centered care. The incumbent may be required to perform IV starts, prep patients, monitor hemodynamics, operate equipment, document procedures, vascular access site management, and provide patient/family education.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT) for Interventional Radiology.
• Graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist program, associate degree in cardiovascular technology/basic science, Paramedic license, Exercise Physiologist, or equivalent training/education for Cath Lab/EP Lab.
• Clinical experience required through graduation of one of the above listed programs.
• 1 year of experience in EP, Cath Lab or IR is required.
• BLS certification and active RT status upon hire for IR; RT-CV or VI within 2 years of hire.
• BLS upon hire and ACLS within time frame identified by each individual site for Cath Lab.
• Registered RCES/RCIS/RT certification, and IABP certification for Cath Lab.
• BLS upon hire and ACLS within time frame identified by each individual site for EP Lab; Registered RCIS/RCES.

Responsibilities
