About the position

The IR (RN) Supervisor performs duties directly involved with Diagnostic International Radiology in Special Procedures under the direction of the Radiologist. They demonstrate leadership and management skills in supervision of special procedures technologists and radiology nurses as overall operation of the Special Procedure rooms. The Supervisor works closely with the medical staff in order to maximize the capabilities of the special areas, and are responsible for the management of the Outpatient Recovery Unit (ORU), and supervision of personnel assigned to that unit. They support the clinical nursing practice, and patient care delivery, including patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise special procedures technologists and radiology nurses.
  • Manage the Outpatient Recovery Unit (ORU).
  • Work closely with medical staff to maximize capabilities of special areas.
  • Support clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery.

Requirements

  • An associate's degree in nursing is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in health care administration preferred.
  • Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Registered Nurse.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory, lead, or charge experience in Radiology Nursing.
