About The Position
1. Pre-Procedure Care Perform patient assessments (history, medications, allergies, lab results) Verify informed consent Start IV lines and administer pre-procedure medications Provide patient and family education Ensure compliance with procedural safety protocols 2. Intra-Procedure Care Assist interventional radiologists during procedures Administer and monitor moderate (conscious) sedation Continuously monitor cardiac rhythm, oxygen saturation, blood pressure, and level of consciousness Maintain sterile field and ensure patient safety Document medications, vital signs, and procedural events 3. Post-Procedure Care Monitor patients in recovery for complications (bleeding, hematoma, respiratory depression) Manage pain and administer medications Assess puncture sites and vascular access Provide discharge instructions and education Coordinate follow-up care
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (State-specific)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current BLS certification (AHA required)
- ACLS certification preferred/required
- Moderate sedation certification (if applicable)
- Minimum 1–2 years of critical care, ICU, ER, or procedural nursing experience preferred
