About The Position

The Department of Radiology is seeking applicants for an IR APP fellowship in the Division of Interventional Radiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine under the supervision of the Chief of Interventional Radiology and the Director of the APP fellowship. The applicant must be a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. We are looking for new graduate or early career Advanced practice providers. This position is an 18 month to two-year commitment. The first year, the APP is an IR APP fellow with a fellowship salary. The second year, the APP is in a full time APP position. More details will be provided in the interview. We are a high-volume section of 12 full-time faculty and 6 APPs currently. We anticipate adding additional APPs to the University Hospital to address an increase in volume. The fellowship will provide a robust curriculum including dedicated didactic and clinical time. APP responsibilities will span across the full spectrum of interventional radiology: inpatient rounding and consenting, inpatient consults, as well as minimally invasive procedures. Procedures currently offered by the APP group include venous access, chest tube and PleurX placement, as well as fluid drainage (paracentesis, thoracentesis). IR attending physicians and APPs work together as part of an integrated faculty group. The University of Colorado also has a top-notch residency program, and as such, provides unique opportunity for intellectual engagement and continuous growth. Additionally, the University of Colorado IR practice is nationally renowned for offering exceptional clinical service and has a long history of pioneering innovation dating back to the earliest days of the specialty.
