Our Industrial PCs (IPC) and Embedded PC product families combined with their respective operating system offerings form the solid basis of Beckhoff's industrial controls system, providing very reliable and high-performance computing platforms for diverse automation environments and applications. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated US Product Manager to lead and expand our IPC/EPC product adoption in the US market. As the Product Manager for Beckhoff IPCs, you will take ownership of this key product line for the US market, driving its success through expert management, market strategy, and customer engagement, becoming a subject matter expert in IPCs and operating systems including Windows, FreeBSD, and Linux. Reporting to the Director of Product Management and coordinating very closely with global product managers based in Germany, you will ensure US colleagues are knowledgeable on the product and making Beckhoff IPC/EPCs market presence and adoption as high as possible by focusing on strategic product initiatives and high-level customer interactions. In this role, you will develop an in-depth understanding of Beckhoff IPC functionalities, features, and applications, with a focus on not only hardware but also Windows, FreeBSD, and Linux operating systems. You will support the field team in customer engagements to provide expert advice and solutions related to IPCs and operating systems. Additionally, you will support internal training and product introductions for new IPC releases, ensuring team members and external partners are well-informed. Staying current with industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback related to IPCs and operating systems will be crucial. You will communicate product requirements and major issues to Beckhoff HQ in Germany, collaborating on product improvements and innovations. Identifying and developing solutions by integrating IPCs with other Beckhoff products to meet common industry challenges will be part of your responsibilities. Working with Operations, you will ensure the best selection of commonly used, standard configuration IPC and EPC products are available as standard stocked items and migrate these to newer technology as appropriate. In terms of product promotion, you will coordinate with Marketing Communications and global product management to develop and implement go-to-market strategies, including launch plans for new IPC products in the US market. You will work with marketing communications and Global Product Managers to produce promotional materials such as videos, webinars, and articles. Additionally, you will refine product messaging for the field team, highlighting the benefits and use cases of IPCs and our operating system offerings, and create and manage demos and promotional materials for trade shows, digital platforms, and sample hardware.
