About The Position

Vasona Creek Healthcare is hiring - IP Nurse (Infection Prevention Nurse). Come join our great team as a IP Nurse (Infection Prevention Nurse). We are looking for a compassionate, caring and very detail oriented Nurse to join our team to manage the IP in our facility.

Responsibilities

• Assists in development of reports and consulting departmental staff and others regarding epidemiologic findings.
• Assists in implementation, and maintenance of disease surveillance systems.
• Demonstrates knowledge of state and local public and individual health problems and programs.
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets statistical data in accordance with all applicable guidelines as needed.
• Uses appropriate formats and within established timeframes, completes necessary reports, graphs, and charts necessary for accurate, current information distribution.
• Assists with the development of policies and procedures for new and existing disease control programs.
• Demonstrates flexibility and innovation in developing recommendations for improvements.
• Assists as assigned with testing and implementation of new procedures to ensure desired results.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the epidemiology and the control of certain infections and/or chronic diseases, as well as of state and local public health programs, policies, and procedures in providing explanations and answers.
• Participates in special projects as assigned, coordinating with other staff as necessary.
