Our customer, the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), provides, operates, and assures command and control of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to its customers, the department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations. This position directly supports the DISA-provided capabilities and services. The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector/Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSMO-II) contract has an opening for a Network Engineer in Ford Island, HI . The Network Engineer will perform sustainment, maintenance, Problem and Change management services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of the Department of Defense IP networks. This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance. The anticipated salary range is $80,000 to $85,000 Primary Responsibilities: Perform engineering tasks related to the design, implementation, and integration of network changes and sustainment of customer systems in an Wide Area Network environment. Conduct planning and performance of analytical research, design development, and other tasks to align with customer specifications. Control network systems to ensure 99% or better system uptime and connectivity. Ensure efficient delivery of contract capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes. Mitigate risks, control costs and schedule variance, and effectively manage large scale, integrated projects. Perform a variety of analytical tasks which include hardware and software design and implementation.
