Requirements

  • Qualified candidates should have law firm experience handling intellectual property litigation, including legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, managing discovery, and working with experts.
  • Experience litigating matters in federal court is strongly preferred.
  • Registration to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is desirable, as is some familiarity with patent prosecution, including the preparation and prosecution of patent applications.
  • Experience with a variety of technical areas, including mechanical, electromechanical, software, and/or electrical inventions, is preferred.
  • The work may also include advising clients on clearance, validity, infringement, and enforcement of patent and other intellectual property rights.
  • Candidates must demonstrate excellent written and oral advocacy skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Admission to the State Bar or the ability to immediately waive in is required.
