About The Position
The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking an individual to serve as the Iowa HHS Health Economist (Data Scientist 1). This position will serve as the first Health Economist for Iowa HHS and will work collaboratively across all divisions within HHS and across state government entities to analyze and evaluate the Iowa healthcare system, including policies, reimbursement rates, access to healthcare, and health outcomes. The Health Economist will join the Data Privacy and Strategy Bureau within the Compliance Division.
