This role is for an iOS Engineering Manager at CNBC, responsible for leading the architecture, design, and development of high-scale, video-rich iOS applications. The manager will ensure the delivery of performant, secure, and maintainable Swift-based code, leveraging frameworks like SwiftUI, UIKit, and Combine. The position involves overseeing deep integrations with video playback, personalization engines, and real-time APIs, and driving consistency and scalability across mobile platforms. The role also includes managing, coaching, and growing a team of iOS engineers, fostering ownership, creativity, and continuous improvement, and promoting engineering excellence through automated testing, CI/CD, and observability. The manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Product, Design, UX Research, QA, Data, and Platform to shape and deliver user-first features, ensuring platform consistency, brand alignment, and accessibility standards. Additionally, the manager will own key performance indicators like app performance, crash-free sessions, release cadence, and user engagement, implementing monitoring and proactive error handling, and championing fast iteration without compromising quality.
