About The Position

The ChatGPT team supports the OpenAI mission by innovating and refining the user experience, technical architecture, and core features of ChatGPT across various platforms. We focus on building scalable, user-centric solutions that empower seamless interactions with ChatGPT, while enabling rapid development and iteration of impactful features that push the boundaries of what is possible through AI.

We are looking for a senior software engineer to focus on building and maintaining core features within the ChatGPT iOS app.

Requirements

• Have a proven track record of developing impactful iOS features, with deep expertise in the Apple ecosystem and related development tools.
• Enjoy working in cross-functional teams, partnering effectively with product, design, and engineering collaborators.
• Prioritize performance, reliability, and quality as foundational principles of mobile app development.
• Are passionate about enabling other developers by designing scalable, maintainable, and high-performing client features.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship new iOS experiences that expand the boundaries of AI-powered mobile applications, delivering a useful and delightful assistant in every user’s pocket.
• Drive foundational improvements in the iOS app, including optimizing performance, establishing robust testing frameworks, refining app architecture, and integrating cutting-edge iOS platform capabilities.
• Collaborate on high-impact projects by working closely with product, design, research, and data science teams to achieve product goals and improve user experiences.
• Prioritize quality and user satisfaction by focusing on performance, reliability, and responsiveness, ensuring a delightful experience for ChatGPT iOS users.
