About The Position

We are looking for an iOS App Developer to help build and improve our mobile application that connects diagnostic devices to the cloud. In this role, you will work on both Bluetooth (device connectivity) and cloud integration, gaining hands-on experience across the full stack of a connected system. You’ll collaborate closely with senior engineers while gradually taking on more ownership. Location: This is an onsite position located at our Santa Ana, CA office. Candidates living within a 25 mile range preferred.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in iOS development
  • Proficiency in Swift and familiarity with iOS frameworks
  • Previous experience with Bluetooth (BLE)
  • Proven experience working with REST APIs and backend integration
  • In depth experience of mobile app architecture and asynchronous programming
  • Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, and ownership mindset
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, evolving environment and continuously learning new technologies
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of handling offline or intermittent connectivity

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with connected devices or IoT applications
  • Experience in healthcare or medical device environments, preferred
  • Familiarity with data security basics (authentication, encryption)
  • Experience with TestFlight or App Store deployment

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high quality iOS applications using Swift that serve as part of a regulated medical device system
  • Implementing Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication with devices
  • Support device workflows such as discovery, pairing, and data transfer
  • Integrate mobile apps with cloud APIs for data upload and retrieval
  • Help implement features for real-time data display and synchronization
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues across app, device, and backend
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Participate in code reviews and learn best practices
  • Develop unit tests and automated test suites to support verification and validation efforts
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues across hardware, firmware, mobile software, and backend systems
  • Contribute to an agile, fast paced startup environment while maintaining a quality first, patient safety mindset
