About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to join our team in a doctor's office setting. The role involves drawing patients' blood, performing specimen processing, and ensuring accurate entry of specimens into our computer system. You will be responsible for the preparation and distribution of samples for analytical testing, adhering to pre- and post-testing procedures, and performing specified analytical tests. This position requires compliance with the Code of Conduct.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in phlebotomy.
• Proficiency in blood draws and specimen processing.
• Ability to work effectively with cancer patients and manage difficult draws.
• Team player mentality.
• GED or high school diploma.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with cancer patients.
• Strong skills in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood from patients and perform specimen processing.
• Collect and receive biological specimens into the department.
• Ensure proper entry of specimens into the computer system.
• Prepare samples for analytical testing and distribute them to the appropriate analytical area.
• Perform specified analytical testing as assigned.
• Follow guidelines of the Code of Conduct.
