About The Position

The Program Manager leads and oversees all aspects of the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care for individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges. This role is responsible for daily operations, clinical and administrative supervision, and regulatory compliance. The Program Manager fosters a trauma-informed, recovery-focused treatment environment and actively engages with community partners to support program sustainability and growth.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field required.
  • Current clinical licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in behavioral health, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Prior experience with intensive outpatient or partial hospitalization programs is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, co-occurring disorders, and evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and data-informed program management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the IOP, including scheduling, staffing, and service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain program policies, procedures, and workflows that ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Champion a patient-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented approach.
  • Provide leadership and support to clinical and support staff, including therapists, case managers, and group facilitators.
  • Oversee adherence to evidence-based treatment practices and clinical standards.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings, clinical supervision, and case consultations.
  • Monitor clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with medical necessity and regulatory standards.
  • Track program outcomes, utilization trends, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with referral sources, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders.
  • Participate in cross-agency care coordination and represent the program at external meetings and events.
  • Support the development and management of the program budget to ensure financial accountability.
  • Manage staffing, resource allocation, and scheduling for optimal efficiency.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for program expansion, new service lines, and funding.
