About The Position

USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub app This is a non-benefited 40 hour a week position at UNH Interoperability Labs. UNH Interoperability Labs (UNH-IOL) has been testing Networking and Communications since 1988. Fully owned by the University of New Hampshire, the lab receives 100% of its funding from commercial companies in exchange for professional and testing services. Testing services include areas such as Ethernets, xDSL, Storage, Wireless, and Internet Protocol (including IPv6).

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Basic troubleshooting experience; ability to respond quickly and isolate basic issues occurring during test services.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Basic experience creating technical documents

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with a programming language
• Technical writing proficiency
• Ability to work both independently as well as a member of a team

Responsibilities

• Support the technical requirements, setup, maintenance and operation of an assigned test service along with future test offerings.
• Serve as a tester for up to two basic level complexity small testing areas.
• Work will customers during the testing process to resolve issues.
• Assist with documentation for test tools and test plans as assigned.
• Suggest and implement improvement SOPs and quality documentation.
• Assist with training and mentoring new employees on test service offerings.
