About The Position

Develops and supports IoT Mobile/Web solutions for the HVAC market. Utilize Azure IoT Hub and the Azure cloud environment. Development involves working with internal teams and end-use customers to meet expectations for connectivity and dissemination of information in manners and forms that make that information useful. Support may include basic and remote network troubleshooting all the way up to creating end user application documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A /B.S.) from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, IoT or Networking related field is preferred.
• Valid licensed driver for independent travel to job sites as may be required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Azure IoT Hub or similar IoT environment, Azure strongly preferred.
• Tools such as Visual Studio Code, Power Pages, Power BI and Rest API.
• Familiarity with data handling tools such as MQTT, SQL and Azure Data Explorer.
• Web development knowledge to include managing SSL security certificates and other internet security and technology.
• Networking and firewall fundamentals.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel.
• Familiar with Version Control such as DevOps, Git, or SVN.
• Use various Integrated Development Environments (IDE's), develop software in C, C++ and website languages to create solutions.
• Provide documentation to the marketing team.
• Assist in testing prototype operation through the development of simple test applications.
• Demonstrates strong leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing and supporting basic software systems for improved client efficiency and HVAC manufacturing processes.
• Integrates technology to enable contractors to customize HVAC systems for clients, enhancing efficiency in installations and overall production.
• Tests, debugs, and documents new software systems or applications programs.
• Enhances existing versions of software as required.
• Possesses knowledge of relevant development environments and protocols.
