About The Position

The Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC) mobilizes and connects the business community to drive economic development and public policies that promote sustainable growth. Our board draws from Atlanta’s top business leaders. We create value in return for our members’ time and investment by producing results on each issue we choose to tackle. This is a paid internship, plus overtime, requiring a 40+ hour work week. We are currently hiring for a 6-month timeframe. This is a comprehensive and hands on role. It provides excellent experience in events, customer service and true professional grooming. Our work environment is fast paced and energetic, so we’re looking for someone with positivity, great sense of urgency and a quick learner and thinker. This internship provides exposure to the Atlanta business community to make connections and the insight into a myriad of companies and businesses in metro Atlanta. We pride ourselves on providing the opportunity for a truly motivated individual to leave this role fully ready to launch their career.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Professional oral and written communication skills
• Customer service and goal oriented with ability to work in a flexible, fast paced environment
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work individually (with little supervision), as well as part of a team
• Ability to follow directions and do what it takes to get the job done

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Investor Relations team at events
• Running errands (access to vehicle and valid driver’s licenses is necessary)
• Assisting with various projects and daily office operations
• Working early and late for events (overtime will be paid)
• Managing individual daily, weekly and monthly responsibilities
