About Corporate Groups It takes a village, and at BioMarin our corporate groups are the people behind our success. Groups such as IT, Finance, Legal, Global Compliance & Ethics, and our People Team provide foundational support of all areas of operation at BioMarin. Scope: Reporting to the Associate Director of Investor Relations (IR) with a dotted line to the Group Vice President of IR, the IR analyst will play a critical role in supporting all the activities of BioMarin’s Investor Relations team, including earnings preparation, investor events, investor targeting, presentation preparation, strategic valuation analysis and financial modeling. This individual must be a self-starter and have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a continually changing environment with little to no guidance. This position interfaces with BioMarin’s investor relations team, and other functions across the company and requires a high-level of professionalism and discretion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in investor relations, FP&A, or accounting at a public company, with demonstrated understanding of capital markets and public company financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of SEC filings, regulatory requirements, and disclosure processes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly to investors and senior management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with IR platforms is a plus.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to partner across corporate functions.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently to deliver high-quality results.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting IR activities during quarterly reporting cycles, earnings calls, and investor events.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling, analysis, and market trend evaluation to inform IR strategy.
  • Prior experience engaging with institutional investors, analysts, and other key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance shareholder value.

Responsibilities

  • Support the team in the preparation and dissemination of quarterly earnings releases, investor presentations, and other financial communications, ensuring accuracy and alignment with corporate messaging.
  • Aggregate, summarize and distribute analyst research, estimates and peer performance metrics to senior management
  • Assist in planning and executing earnings calls, investor conferences, roadshows, and other IR events to strengthen engagement with the investment community
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, peer company performance, and investor sentiment, providing insights that inform IR strategy and executive decision-making.
  • Conduct peer benchmarking, valuation analysis, and, ultimately, be responsible for maintaining the internal financial model including all analyst estimates.
  • Maintain and update IR materials, including fact sheets, FAQs, and website content, to ensure transparency and consistency for shareholders and analysts.
  • Manage the IR in-box in a timely manner.
  • Support investor targeting and engagement program; create investor profile reports and track detailed analyst and investor meeting information in the IR database.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
