About The Position
The Columbia Threadneedle Investments Leadership Development Program (LDP) is designed for emerging talent interested in a career in Asset Management. This 24-month program offers a unique opportunity to gain meaningful work experience while cultivating business knowledge and skills. Participants will engage in on-the-job training, network within a supportive and inclusive environment, and have exposure to senior leaders in the organization. The program consists of three 8-month rotations across various business areas, including Equity & Fixed Income Research, Portfolio Management Teams, and Equity & Fixed Income Trading. This structure allows participants to explore the breadth of the business unit and potentially transition into a permanent position within Columbia Threadneedle after completing the program. Throughout the program, LDP associates will perform a variety of tasks that contribute to the success of the company. They will conduct financial modeling of industry, company, and security information, providing market-related insights that assist Portfolio Managers in identifying relative value opportunities. Additionally, they will act as points of contact for Wall Street counterparties, aggregating axes, collecting and disseminating market color, and executing trades. LDP associates will also develop and monitor reports and analyses of portfolios, including investment performance trends and comparisons to client guidelines, indices, sector weightings, and attribution analysis. Furthermore, they will be responsible for re-balancing portfolios in response to cash flows, market price movements, and changes in client guidelines.
