About The Position

The Investments Intern will support the Investments Team in various aspects of investment analysis and research, portfolio management, and operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the institutional investment industry and develop skills of financial analysis, market research, and investment strategy while carrying out the Queen’s mission in serving the kamaliʻi. Requirements

  • High school diploma and pursuing a college degree in related fields
  • Pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools (preferred, not required)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings
  • Demonstrated interest in the investment industry with a desire to learn and advance
  • High level of integrity and commitment to serving the lāhui
  • Confidentiality of LT’s investment holdings is required given the nature of the work and relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the analysis of investment opportunities, including financial modeling and valuation
  • Conduct market research and gather data on industry trends and economic indicators
  • Support the preparation of investment reports and presentations for internal and external shareholders
  • Monitor and analyze portfolio performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization
  • Collaborate with team members on special projects and initiatives related to investment strategy, operations and portfolio management
  • Participate in meetings and discussions with external investment professionals to gain insights and knowledge
  • Adheres to internship program guidelines and supports department needs as assigned.
  • Completes a variety of tasks that provide broad exposure to departmental workflows.
  • Actively builds new skills, strengthens existing abilities, and applies learning to real‑world projects and responsibilities.
