The Strategic Asset Allocation and ALM team is seeking an Investment Strategy & Risk Analyst who will be responsible for the development of portfolio optimization tools and investment risk models and analytics for the investment portfolio across Resolution Life Group’s (“RL”) acquired life companies and reinsured flow business portfolios. The RL portfolio consists of a diversified mix of capital-efficient investments which are continually optimized for the best risk adjusted return outcome. RL leverages relationships with third-party investment managers to invest in specific asset classes. The Analyst will have the opportunity to gain exposure to investments across the portfolio and will also be involved in other aspects of the team’s activities including portfolio management, performance analysis, reporting, and the continuous build-out of the team’s operating infrastructure. Additionally, the Analyst will have the opportunity to have interactions with external stakeholders as well as internal stakeholders including team members from the risk, actuarial, finance, legal, and operations groups. The RL Investment Team is a lean, flat organization that requires all individuals to contribute to generate the best outcome for RL. The environment is fast paced, flexible, and will allow the individual to gain exposure to all aspects of the investment process. The RL business expects to continue to grow in the coming years and the team will evolve along with it. Profile Responsibilities The successful candidate will have the following principal accountabilities: · Partner with members of the Strategic Asset Allocation and ALM to help develop Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) and Tactical Asset Allocation (TAA) tools and analytics for US acquired life companies and flow business opportunities, reflecting the nature of the liabilities and the constraints of the risk management framework. · Contribute to the development of the investment risk framework. This includes assisting the Investment Risk Management group in developing risk models and tools for monitoring acquired risk positions. · Develop analytics to regularly monitor performance and investment strategies of competitive landscape to benchmark the range of industry practices and identify potential opportunities. · Develop presentation materials for Management Committee and Board of Director meetings.
