About The Position

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Salesperson for its New York, New York location. The role involves leading discussions with clients in the Caribbean and Central America (CCA) regions to raise funds in the capital markets and provide strategic advisory services. The Salesperson will analyze the financial or operational performance of companies facing financial difficulties to identify or recommend solutions and prepare plans of action for investment. They will employ financial models to develop solutions to financial problems or to assess the financial or capital impact of transactions. The position requires conferring with clients to restructure debt, refinance debt, or raise new debt, as well as evaluating the capital needs of clients and assessing market conditions to inform the structuring of transactions. The Salesperson will create, book, and use financial systems, including Finance Workstation, TPS Workstation, DPAddins, EQRMS, Bloomberg, and Citi Velocity to capture risk positions, measure revenue generation, and facilitate accurate record keeping. Additionally, they will leverage Department Capital Markets and Private Loans Market knowledge to diversify sources of funding for clients and manage global markets relationships among various financial entities. The role also includes providing interest rate, credit, foreign exchange, and commodity solutions to corporates, public sector, and financial institutions across financing, investing, and hedging in the CCA region. The Salesperson will manage existing Markets transaction portfolios, prepare and analyze derivative pricing models, and build and maintain relationships with institutional clients to understand their market needs in derivatives. They will execute trades on behalf of clients ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulations, manage documentation related to transactions, and expand institutional sales in Latin-American (LATAM) markets. The position requires developing a coordinated sales strategy to grow market and wallet shares, refining and implementing sales and marketing strategies, and overseeing strategic positioning and closing of transactions. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Management, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Salesperson, Management Associate or related position involving institutional investor sales in the Caribbean and Central America regions.
  • 6 years of experience must include: Investment and financial analysis; Basel regulations; Finance Workstation, TPS or E-Dealer Workstation, DPAddins, EQRMS, and Bloomberg; Derivative pricing and methodologies; Corporate finance and capital markets knowledge; Caribbean and Central American financial regulations; and Relationship management.

  • Manage existing Markets transaction portfolios.
  • Prepare and analyze derivative pricing models.
  • Build and maintain relationship with institutional clients to understand their market needs in derivatives.

  • Manage documentation related to transactions, including trade confirmations, legal agreements, and compliance records.
  • Expand institutional sales in Latin-American (LATAM) markets, including Caribbean and Central America.

  • Refine and implement sales and marketing strategies to strengthen bank's market presence and maximize associated revenues.
  • Work with management and cross-functional teams to establish a marketing plan with defined priorities, market penetration strategy, and revenue goals.
  • Ensure bank's products remain in lead position and competent against both local and international banks in market.
  • Oversee strategic positioning, closing of transactions, and origination and distribution of debt capital market transactions.
