About The Position

The Investment Sales Assistant will assist Brokerage Sales Representatives by providing servicing and sales support. This includes greeting clients, handling and screening telephone calls, scheduling appointments, and using various PC software packages such as word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics to generate reports, presentations, and other correspondence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or similar field and a minimum of 5 years of related experience in customer service/sales support/investments related work, or 9 years of related experience in lieu of degree
  • Successfully completed FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 or 7 and 66 exams, or the ability to complete license requirements within 180 days of hire date
  • Knowledge of the brokerage industry
  • Compliance with state law requirements
  • Client service focus with ability to respond to requests in a timely fashion
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, and multi-tasking skills
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Previous brokerage sales support experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Opening/closing investment accounts at the direction of the Brokerage Sales Representatives
  • Reviewing file documentation for compliance and working with internal departments and/or directly with the client to solve service/operational issues
  • Answering or providing information regarding procedural/sales questions
  • Processing client service requests such as address changes and statement copies
  • Processing the movement of funds
  • Maintaining a consistent level of competence in following firm compliance procedures and file maintenance
  • Issuing sales/marketing information to clients and corresponding with various fund groups or product vendors as required
  • Acting as backup in taking and executing unsolicited orders directly from a client (if licensed or after appropriate licenses have been obtained)
  • Demonstrating commitment to Bremer's risk management approach including compliance with all applicable industry regulations and company policies
  • Minimizing fraud-related losses by maintaining awareness and reacting promptly to suspicious activity
