About The Position

Walker & Dunlop is one of the largest providers of capital to the commercial real estate industry, enabling real estate owners and operators to bring their visions of communities to life. The Investment Sales department represents the nation's premier multifamily owners, developers, and operators with the highest level of investment advisory service. The Analyst position will assist in the creation and dissemination of marketing materials for investment-grade multifamily properties throughout their region, reporting to the Managing Director and other senior officers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Finance and/or Real Estate concentration preferred)
  • 1+ year of experience in Finance, Real Estate or related field preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks during time sensitive situations
  • Excellent financial modeling skills including thorough knowledge of Excel
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and Word
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Financial analysis of multifamily opportunities using proprietary WDIS underwriting model
  • Assist in the research, writing, and proofing of marketing offering memorandums (OMs) and Broker Opinion of Values (BOVs)
  • Research and maintain databases tracking Investment Sales activity and construction pipeline
  • Develop and maintain market knowledge through industry trade journals and economic forecasts
  • Assist in the creation and editing of 'state of the market' presentations for conferences and client meetings
  • Maintain files to ensure all mandatory disclosures are completed
  • Provide a quality-controlled system for managing steps necessary to close a deal
  • Monitor and assess the progress of sales to meet deadlines
  • Provide preliminary audits of files for management review
  • Perform other duties as assigned
