About The Position

Point72’s Investment Professional Development (IPD) team is dedicated to the growth and development of our investment analysts. The team focuses on developing investment professional skills with the goal of driving superior alpha generation and enhancing team investment processes by analyzing, consolidating, and sharing best practices; training the investment team population; and preparing analyses and data with partners across the firm. The Point72 Academy is an industry leading premier long/short equities investment analyst training program. This comprehensive development program trains undergraduates and early career professionals on skills they need to be analysts at Point72 on an accelerated timeline. The curriculum includes intense modeling and research skill-building, focused on sector- and company-specific training.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Utilize your extensive buyside experience to train and mentor Academy associates on financial modeling and investment research.
  • Develop, create, and deliver Compliance-approved content (in-person and virtual) to advance the core modeling, fundamental research, and analytical skills of the Academy.
  • Identify training needs and create targeted programs to address specific skill gaps.
  • Conduct company research to prepare compliant content for training sessions, including reading news flow, sell-side research, company filings, earnings transcripts, and more.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes to ensure the training curriculum remains relevant and aligned with best practices.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive training experience for new analysts.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to Academy associates on investment theses, fundamental research, and learning how to pitch investment recommendations.
  • Foster and maintain long-term relationships with Academy graduates, providing ongoing mentorship and support.
  • Drive continuous evolution and refinement of our program based on real-world feedback from Academy graduates and portfolio managers.
  • Collaborate on curriculum planning and execution across several Academy programs including the summer internship and other special programs leading to the full-time 10-month program.
  • Coordinate recruiting efforts with members of the Academy’s recruiting team and assist in producing evaluation materials as needed.
  • Partner with Compliance to create presentation materials for Academy marketing, recruiting, and reporting to Senior Management.
