The Portfolio Review Department (PRD) ensures Vanguard's investment offer stays healthy, relevant, and focused on helping clients reach their investment goals. As an Investment Product Analyst on the Active Equity Product team, you'll partner closely with Vanguard's Manager Research team, distribution, and marketing to assess product health, inform strategy, and help bring new solutions to market. Vanguard is among the industry's largest active equity providers, with 50+ years of active equity experience, a roster of 20+ external sub advisors, and in house expertise through our Quantitative Equity Group (QEG). The team is engaged on notable initiatives-including recent Wellington managed fundamental active equity ETF launches-giving you visibility into high impact product decisions.

  • Completes analyses of strategic, competitive, client and market issues relating to Vanguard's Active Equity Investment product line-up. Prepares and presents strategic analysis, findings, and recommendations to leadership and peers. Contributes to product development and implementation with input on new products and product enhancements to enhance client experience and business results.
  • Builds and produces key reports on a regular basis on Vanguard Active Equity Investment products and industry trends.
  • Utilizes department resources to respond to Active Equity fund, advisor, and market questions. Manages the support process, recommending process guidelines to management and the business.
  • Supports the creation of dynamic content used to position Vanguard's Active Equity Investment products. Develops and maintains broad knowledge and awareness of the investment industry, competition, and Vanguard's fund line-up. Assists with the creation of thought leadership commentary.
  • Develops and maintains Active Equity Investment product-based competitor research, analysis, and monitoring that supports better business understanding of competitors' product offerings, drives positioning of Vanguards' product, and supports sales teams.
  • Develops and maintains relationships across the organization including investment teams, sales teams, marketing, and legal.
  • Continues personal development of investment/fund analysis skills and presentation skills. Contributes to presentations on investment topic to internal crew and external clients.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Foundation of investment acumen and data analysis skillset preferred.
  • Curiosity about active management and ETFs; comfort operating across product, research, and distribution preferred.
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to Power BI tools preferred.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
