At Regions, the Asset Management Portfolio Manager serves as a Portfolio Manager for assigned managed accounts. Primary Responsibilities Manages a book of either Private Wealth or Institutional Clients by serving as the Portfolio Manager Works with clients and multiple partners to development investment objectives and goals through discussion and identification of client priorities Implements and communicates investment related changes based on Investment Working Group guidelines to ensure clients receive the Best Thinking of Regions Asset Management Effectively Implement Portfolio Management Group Strategic Initiatives and may provide input Leverage resources to maintain and increase efficiency to focus on clients at an effective level Address and respond to all risk related items in a timely fashion including but not limited to: Investment Reviews, Asset Allocation Flags, and other risk reports Execute the Regions Client Experience at an expert level Initiates and monitors required actions related to modeling and trading of client accounts Works with all partners at an advanced level by building relationships to retain and grow revenue from existing client relationships May manage more complex client relationships Participates and may lead the sales process with partners and teammates to identify and solidify new business opportunities focused on trust and investment management Keeps abreast of trends and developments in the economy and markets and has vast historical knowledge based on experience in multiple market cycles to ensure effective communication to clients and partners Likely to lead project teams as assigned by PMG leadership Likely to serve as a liaison between portfolio managers and PMG leadership Likely to serve as a mentor or leader to other portfolio managers This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. This position is incentive eligible.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance and/or Economics
  • Technical training in estate planning and financial and economic markets
  • Ten (10) years in investment management or equivalent experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Proven out-performance in investment management and client service
  • Sales and presentation skills
  • Skilled in applicable computer software programs
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics, or International Equivalent
  • Technical Training in financial and economic markets
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, or Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA)
