About The Position

The Investment Portfolio Analyst supports the Portfolio Managers with analytical data to assist in portfolio decision making and ensure consistency with the client’s investment objectives, the Bank’s operating policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements..

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills; high level of attention to detail while pursuing quality in accomplishing tasks and ensuring timeliness of work; proficient reading, verbal and written communication, computer and interpersonal relations skills; competent working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and trust accounting software.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years’ experience in investment field including security and portfolio level analytics preferred.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) candidate preferred or willingness to pursue CFA designation or other advanced designation.

Responsibilities

  • Back up other daily team responsibilities handled by the Portfolio Specialist, such as, but not limited to coordinating and execute the daily mutual fund, stock and bond trading, accomplish problem resolution utilizing customer relationship management system. Administrate portfolio management system with regard to rules, models maintenance, allocations and report packages. Monitor maturing bonds, directed trades and authorizations.
  • In support of the PMs, monitor mutual fund and ETF models for performance, quality and stability.
  • As requested, perform reviews and research of individual securities for inclusion/exclusion in the internal approved list to be used in models/portfolios.
  • Prepare proposals and performance reports for use in new business development and reviews for client meetings.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external presentations as needed.
  • Assist in preparation and assembling quarterly Investment Strategy committee packages, specifically related to performance measurement and strategy presentations.
  • Contribute to development of macroeconomic analysis, investment strategy development and asset allocation considerations.
  • Assist in portfolio review process and follow-up to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies, procedures and the Investment Policy Statement of each account.
  • Review and recommend changes in investment policy and procedures to ensure continued efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor Investment Policy Statement (IPS) compliance for all accounts and portfolios.
