About The Position

Ensign Peak Advisors is an affiliated organization of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In support of the Church's global mission, Ensign Peak Advisors manager the financial reserves of the Church and provides cash management services to find Church operations. This role is part of the Performance & Reporting function within the Investment Securities Department, supporting oversight and analysis of a multi-asset institutional portfolio. The team is responsible for independent performance measurement, validation of returns, and production of institutional-quality reporting used to support fiduciary oversight and investment decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in institutional investment performance, reporting, or investment accounting.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and performance measurement concepts
  • Progress in, or willingness to pursue, the CFA and/or CIPM designations
  • Experience with multi-asset class reporting and benchmark-relative analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with performance systems or data tools (e.g., SQL, Python) preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present performance results to internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Independently validate portfolio and manager returns across public and private asset classes, including reconciliation with custodians and third-party administrators.
  • Produce multi-asset class performance reporting including time-weighted returns, money-weighted returns (IRR), contribution to return, and benchmark-relative performance.
  • Support development and maintenance of performance attribution methodologies (e.g., Brinson attribution, multi-period linking).
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly internal and affiliate performance reports with clear, accurate, and consistent presentation of results.
  • Assist in onboarding new investments into performance reporting systems, ensuring accurate data mapping, benchmark assignment, and classification.
  • Ensure data integrity across performance systems through validation procedures, exception management, and documentation of controls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency through automation, standardization, and process enhancement.
