About The Position
We are looking for an Analyst to join our Investment & Platform Oversight (IPO) team! IPO is responsible for investment strategy and manager oversight across Principal's mutual fund, collective investment trust, UCIT and life insurance separate account platforms. In this role, you will assist IPO team members in the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of internal and external investment managers. You will also lead the team's efforts in the production and efficient use of data via FactSet and Morningstar Direct, third-party analytical toolsets. Specifically, you will have an opportunity to research and compile qualitative and quantitative information, conduct investment performance analysis, prepare quarterly investment oversight reports for internal partners and governance boards, monitor investment portfolios daily to ensure compliance with the Investment Guidelines, lead projects, process reviews, and/or system enhancements that support investment oversight initiatives, and communicate and respond to data requests from internal partners.
