About The Position

The Investment Operations Specialist role is designed to support the operational needs of a high-volume investment desk within a top-tier wealth management firm. This position involves assisting with various client account processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and maintaining an organized office environment to facilitate client relationship building. The specialist will also be responsible for monitoring investment accounts and communicating market trends during team meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study (preferred).
  • At least 1 year of experience focused on investment operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Fully licensed for investments: Series 7 and 63.
  • Desire to obtain further credentialing within the industry (CFP, CLU, ChFC, WMCP, RICP, etc.).
  • Experience with NetX360 and the Pershing Platform (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft applications and data entry software.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in financial services or a related field is a plus.
  • Proficiency in financial software applications and tools for financial analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the account opening process for clients.
  • Handle transfers, journals, rollover requests, and cashiering requests.
  • Update client information and trade on advisory and brokerage platforms.
  • Monitor investment accounts on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain an efficient and organized office environment.
  • Ensure compliance with NM and industry rules regarding investor disclosure and privacy laws.
  • Process correspondence and maintain client case files.
  • Respond to home office account inquiries and ensure compliance requirements are followed.
  • Prepare and process paperwork for investment accounts and monitor asset transfers.
  • Execute trade instructions and maintain appropriate asset allocation.
  • Correspond with clients to handle investment-related service issues and explain advisory products.
  • Run performance reports in Envestnet, Morningstar, and NMCIR.
