About The Position

The Investment Operations Specialist at Gradient Investments plays a crucial role in providing operational support for various investment-related tasks. This position involves client support, account management, and ensuring compliance with internal procedures, all while fostering relationships with financial service professionals and investment consultants.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED - Required
  • 1+ year of financial services and/or investment industry - Preferred
  • Basic knowledge of basic computer programs
  • Basic knowledge of the English Language structure and its spelling, grammar, punctuation
  • Basic knowledge of office procedures and arithmetic
  • Basic knowledge of investment account types and specific requirements pertaining to account types; i.e RMD's, Roth conversions and transfers.
  • Required basic knowledge of investment account tax forms
  • Basic skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
  • Basic skill in talking to others to convey information effectively
  • Basic skill in using Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to review work for accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support for processing, client support, account set-up, account transfer (ACAT and Non-ACAT), account maintenance and general administrative duties.
  • Provide cash management/trade request processing, raise cash, client distributions, RMDs, portfolio change requests and Roth conversions.
  • Build and enrich relationships with FSPs and Investment Consultants.
  • Provide timely responses to daily incoming correspondence (email, phone) from advisors, clients and custodians.
  • Provide accurate communication and documentation of all account activity, requests, account openings, transfers, investment instructions, and cash management requests.
  • Collaborate with custodians, FSPs and/or internal staff to resolve issues regarding processing of new accounts, transfers, cash management and all other account requests.
  • Process Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) changes with Financial Service Professionals (FSPs).
  • Adhere to compliance and internal procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
