About The Position
The Investment Operations Associate Program at GMO is a unique opportunity designed for individuals eager to gain a comprehensive understanding of investment operations within a leading investment management firm. This two-year rotational program allows participants to work across various teams, including trading, portfolio management, investment research, and client services, providing a holistic view of the operational functions that drive the business. Each rotation lasts approximately six months, tailored to align with team needs and the participant's skills and interests. Upon joining in June 2025, associates will undergo an extensive training program that spans several weeks, equipping them with insights into the firm and the broader investment management landscape. Continuous training will be provided throughout the program to ensure ongoing professional development. Participants will engage with several key teams, including Trade Operations, where they will support trading functions and gain insights into equity, fixed income, and derivatives instruments. The Investment Analysis team will allow associates to perform detailed performance analytics, while the Pricing group will provide exposure to the valuation of various securities. The Reconciliations group will focus on data integrity from custodian banks, and the Shareholder Services team will enhance client-facing skills through the management of cash flows in complex investment products. This program is designed to cultivate exceptionally bright and motivated individuals, ultimately aiming to place them in full-time positions within GMO's investment operations teams after the completion of the program.
