About The Position

The Investment Officer is responsible for delivering high quality investment guidance, portfolio management, and relationship support for trust, estate, and wealth solutions clients. This role combines analytical investment expertise with strong interpersonal skills to help clients achieve long term financial goals while meeting fiduciary standards. Candidates should bring at least three years of experience in investments, wealth management, or a related advisory function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of asset allocation, investment products, capital markets, and portfolio construction
  • Ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear, client-friendly explanations
  • Proficiency with portfolio management systems, financial analysis tools, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in investments, portfolio management, financial planning, or wealth management
  • Experience working with trust accounts or in a fiduciary or regulated investment environment

Nice To Haves

  • Progress toward or completion of professional designations such as CFA, CFP, or CTFA preferred.
  • Knowledge of trust accounts, fiduciary standards, or regulated investment environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor customized investment strategies for trust, agency, and high net worth client portfolios.
  • Conduct ongoing portfolio reviews, asset allocation analysis, and performance reporting aligned with client objectives and risk tolerance.
  • Participate in client meetings to explain investment philosophy, market outlook, and portfolio positioning in clear, accessible terms.
  • Collaborate with trust officers, commercial and retail relationship managers, and estate planning professionals to support holistic client service.
  • Perform security research and due diligence across equities, fixed income, mutual funds, ETFs, and alternative investments as appropriate.
  • Prepare investment proposals, recommendations, and documentation consistent with internal policies and fiduciary standards.
  • Monitor economic trends, market developments, and regulatory changes that may impact client portfolios.
  • Support new business development by participating in prospect meetings and preparing investment analyses for proposals.
  • Maintain accurate records, adhere to compliance requirements, and uphold all fiduciary obligations.
  • Actively represents the Bank in public relations and other related community activities.
  • Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.
