POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES This role is responsible for investment reporting & analysis, security transfers, wholesale funding settlements, the bond accounting system, and other ad-hoc reporting. Requirements

Minimum of 4 years’ experience within the Treasury area of a financial institution required.
Completed CFA Charter can substitute for minimum experience level.
Demonstrates a strong knowledge of both money and capital markets.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to analyze issues and situations systematically.
Ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
Self-motivated and work in a team environment.
Requires a high energy level and strong sense of urgency.
Ability to recommend practical ways using innovation, good judgment, creativity, and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

Portfolio Analysis & Reporting
Understand the instruments within the security portfolios, along with their specific properties, and how they fit into the overall Bank strategy.
Utilize the Bloomberg system to produce historical economic data, and update the security portfolios as transactions are executed, along with other associated reports and analysis.
Responsible for the Bank’s monthly investment and wholesale borrowing reporting.
Prepare the investment and wholesale borrowing presentations for weekly ALCO, monthly Investment Strategy Committee, Bi-Monthly Board Presentations, and quarterly Peer analysis.
Evaluate listing of FHLB Advances, market value and calculate weighted average rate, term, etc. of all Advances.
Transaction Processing & Compliance
Facilitate the transfer of securities through the Federal Reserve and / or other correspondent banks when transactions settle.
Ensure proper settlement of securities by communicating with brokers and maintaining detailed records of transactions.
Responsible for oversight of the bond accounting system and ensure accuracy and prompt distribution of information to the Accounting Department and Chief Investment Officer monthly.
Prepare necessary reports for the internal and external auditors, regulators, etc.
Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required.
