About The Position

The Investment Banking Vice President for Commercial & Industrial Services at Raymond James Financial, Inc. plays a pivotal role in the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) by leveraging extensive knowledge and skills acquired through education and experience. This position operates under general direction with a high level of autonomy, significantly impacting the firm through team development, managing Junior Bankers, and executing business initiatives for the department. The Vice President leads major projects and programs that have substantial business implications, often involving cross-functional teams. This role requires extensive interaction with Senior Management to provide comprehensive solutions to complex problems or needs, influencing strategic direction and developing tactical plans while completing complex assignments with considerable latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions. In this role, the Vice President applies financial analysis, business acumen, and market knowledge to initiate and assess the likelihood of completing corporate finance transactions. They communicate regulatory and financial information, as well as complex strategic issues, in a clear and concise manner to assist decision-makers in corporate finance transactions. The Vice President is expected to apply commercial judgment in evaluating economic risks and returns when considering corporate finance assignments, demonstrating a genuine interest in the client's business and industry. They are responsible for assembling the most appropriate team to provide exceptional multifunctional services to clients, ensuring timely resolution of any professional, technical, or client service issues. The Vice President oversees a team of analysts and senior associates, executing transactions and coordinating the work of Analysts and interns. They support business development and client service activities, attracting and retaining quality bankers who positively impact the SBU and Raymond James. This role also involves originating new corporate finance ideas for clients, developing a niche within the broader SBU, and producing accurate information for client presentations. The Vice President executes M&A and financing transactions, conducts financial modeling, and performs industry and comparable company analysis. Additionally, they are responsible for training and mentoring analysts and associates, reviewing progress with senior management, and performing other duties as assigned.
