About The Position

Equiteq is a global investment bank custom-built to deliver better transaction outcomes in the technology services and specialty consulting sectors. We are the most active M&A advisor for the Knowledge Economy worldwide, with more than 200 transactions completed across 26 countries. Through dedicated local deal teams in New York, Boston, Atlanta, London, Singapore, and Sydney, we combine global reach with deep sector expertise. We are offering a 10-week Summer Internship Program beginning Monday, June 7, 2027. This structured program combines training, project-based assignments, and opportunities to learn directly from our bankers. Interns will gain valuable exposure to the M&A process and develop core skills in financial analysis, market research, valuations, and presentation development. This program is offered in our New York, Boston, and Atlanta offices. Candidates must select the office location(s) they wish to be considered for when applying. Requirements

  • Strong academic record in business, finance, accounting, economics, or related field (other disciplines considered with relevant experience)
  • Currently a sophomore (Class of 2028), with an expected graduation date of Spring/Summer 2028
  • Excellent analytical, research, and presentation skills
  • Personal impact - able to build confidence quickly and present professionally
  • Resilience - thrives under pressure and meets deadlines with accountability
  • Precision - detail-oriented with a process-driven mindset
  • Commitment - strong dedication to teamwork, learning, and client service

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship in investment banking, accounting, or transaction services is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with databases such as CapitalIQ or Pitchbook is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market and company research on tech services and consulting subsectors
  • Build and refine financial models and perform valuations as part of training and project work
  • Take part in individual and group assignments that mirror the stages of an M&A transaction
  • Observe live transactions and, where possible, support deal teams with defined tasks
  • Present project findings to bankers and receive structured feedback
