About The Position

Jefferies' Municipal Finance Group currently employs more than 100 specialists focused on the municipal bond market and dedicated to structuring, underwriting, selling and trading municipal securities. Our team provides investment banking and capital markets advisory services to issuers of municipal debt, including states, cities, towns, state authorities, and 501(c)(3) borrowers, among others. Requirements

• Must have at least two years experience in a public finance banking role (or similar - e.g., financial advisory firm, issuer, rating agency, etc.)
• Must have completed a four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent program.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrate professionalism and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support senior bankers and rapidly assume significant responsibilities, beginning to lead client coverage and lead senior managed transactions.
• Run technical analysis in support of transactions and pitches.
• Aid in the development of financial plans.
• Manage transaction processes and other client coverage efforts.
• Attend and present at client meetings.
• Interface with underwriters, salesmen and traders.
• Support senior bankers with other ad hoc tasks.
