About The Position
Barclays Capital Inc. seeks Investment Banking Associate in New York, NY (multiple positions available). The purpose of the role is to participate in the day-to-day activities of the investment banking division, gaining broad exposure to different types of clients and transactions while focusing on specialist areas. Associates will master all aspects of executing transactions in Investment Banking, including developing client relationships and managing people. They will manage transactions with minimal supervision and coordinate the activities of team members, clients, industry consultants, lawyers, and accountants. The role involves financial analysis and modeling, valuation, industry research, business evaluation, strategic assessment, client interaction, and relationship management, as well as business and idea origination. Associates will also mentor, train, and coach junior colleagues to ensure business deliverables are met timely and accurately. Telecommuting may be an option.
