The opportunity is based in San Francisco, CA with our Public Finance Investment Banking Team. Job Description Oppenheimer will provide the successful candidate with a high level of responsibility and extensive access to senior management and clients. Transaction teams at Oppenheimer are typically small in size, allowing employees to have significant responsibilities and client-facing experience early in their career.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of full-time work experience at an investment bank or credit rating agency
  • Passion for the Public Finance industry
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Elevated attention to detail and consistency in work product
  • Strong work ethic and team player mentality with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, lean deal team work environment
  • Organized and proactive; motivation to contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture
  • Strong Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills, proficiency in Excel and DBC
  • Series 63, 52 FINRA licenses and Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam required at time of hiring or shortly thereafter

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial analyses and bond models
  • Conduct due diligence investigations
  • Support the preparation of detailed presentation materials and pitch books
  • Respond to requests for proposals
  • Support the senior bankers on live transactions
