The opportunity is based in San Francisco, CA with our Public Finance Investment Banking Team. Job Description Oppenheimer will provide the successful candidate with a high level of responsibility and extensive access to senior management and clients. Transaction teams at Oppenheimer are typically small in size, allowing employees to have significant responsibilities and client-facing experience early in their career.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of full-time work experience at an investment bank or credit rating agency
- Passion for the Public Finance industry
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Elevated attention to detail and consistency in work product
- Strong work ethic and team player mentality with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, lean deal team work environment
- Organized and proactive; motivation to contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture
- Strong Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills, proficiency in Excel and DBC
- Series 63, 52 FINRA licenses and Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam required at time of hiring or shortly thereafter
Responsibilities
- Prepare financial analyses and bond models
- Conduct due diligence investigations
- Support the preparation of detailed presentation materials and pitch books
- Respond to requests for proposals
- Support the senior bankers on live transactions
