Nomura Greentech is a fully integrated investment banking team within Nomura which provides M&A advisory and capital formation services for sustainable technology and infrastructure clients, globally. The team focuses exclusively on clients which are using technology to accelerate the transformation of core infrastructure systems – energy, transportation, food, water and waste – to be lower carbon, more efficient and digitally networked. We are seeking high impact Investment Bankers to join Nomura Greentech and cover clients, develop our continuing thought leadership and execute transactions.

Requirements

  • A min of 3 years Investment Banking experience
  • Outstanding academic qualifications; strong GPA
  • Prior investment banking experience; bulge bracket or boutique program training a plus
  • Passion for the business opportunities created by sustainable infrastructure, technology, and industrial disruption
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Series 79 and 63, or willingness to sit for the exams required

Responsibilities

  • Deal Execution: Work closely with clients and execution teams on live transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, capital raisings, financings, and derivative transactions
  • Client Relationship Management: Produce and present ideas at client meetings as a member of a deal team alongside senior bankers
  • Strategic Analysis: Through financial, structural, and business risk analysis, support transactions and client presentations
  • New Business Development: Actively participate in the effort to pitch and win new mandates from clients, leverage proprietary content and generate value-additive ideas
  • Team Management and Development: Manage analysts to execute deliverables for clients and support the training and mentoring of junior professionals
