Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated Associate to join our newly established Industrials group, focusing on M&A advisory. Associates act as the primary day-to-day contact for execution support, including; financial statement analysis and model development, valuation analysis, industry research, and the preparation of various presentations and documents including information memorandums, management presentations, etc. Primary responsibilities include supporting senior bankers in developing junior analysts, live deal execution, new business generation, and various projects to further develop the practice. The ideal candidate should have an interest in and understanding of the broader Industrials sector and be able to execute deals from origination to closing. This position will provide the opportunity to work closely with senior bankers on high-profile transactions and will afford you a high level of autonomy, massive growth trajectory, and close mentorship opportunities across the firm.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years investment banking, corporate finance, and capital markets experience with a top tier global bank OR an MBA concentrating on Finance or Economics
  • Strong interest and understanding of the Industrials industry; experience with banking transaction related to the Aerospace and Defense sector is a huge plus
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills
  • Knowledge of corporate finance, securities, financial markets and risk & pricing analysis
  • Aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative ideas and/or product solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Maturity and good judgement in handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Creativity, intellectual curiosity, and ability to convey ideas
  • Ability to work independently and must be able to work effectively in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • experience with banking transaction related to the Aerospace and Defense sector is a huge plus

Responsibilities

  • Expected to understand the implications, identify key industry and product trends and provide input on pitch and deal materials to enhance the ultimate deliverable to our clients
  • Conduct extensive quantitative economic, industry and company research and analysis
  • Draft and prepare pitch books with detailed industry materials for multiple industrials sub-sectors
  • Financial modeling, valuation, comparable & relative value analyses and market-specific analysis
  • Conduct and model a broad range of corporate finance alternatives and due diligence for client transactions including M&A, strategic alternatives, capital structure development, and acquisition finance
  • Facilitate and coordinate product group idea generation and solutions development across a broad platform of global capabilities
  • Draft client pitches and marketing materials including M&A, public/private debt & equity capital markets, syndicated bank financing, and other internal documentation by coordinating internal and external resources
  • Assist in the development and continued cultivation of client relationships

  • The expected base salary ranges from $175K - $225k
