About The Position

The firm is consistently engaged on high-impact, analytically intensive mandates across mergers and acquisitions, capital structure advisory, restructurings, and valuation matters. GLC Advisors maintains offices in New York, Denver, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Our Los Angeles office is seeking to recruit talented individuals to join as A0 Associates for an immediate start. Associates provide direct support to senior bankers and are expected to take on a high level of responsibility, including managing analysts and day-to-day workstreams, in the execution of restructuring and distressed financing transactions. The Los Angeles office provides a combination of top-tier restructuring talent and a lean, entrepreneurial team environment. Associates work on small deal teams in a tight-knit, collegial culture that emphasizes mentorship, apprenticeship, and long-term development. Requirements

  • Exceptional work ethic and intellectual curiosity
  • Proven self-starter with leadership qualities and analytical aptitude
  • MBA from an outstanding institution with strong academic achievement is preferred but not required
  • 2–4 years of relevant transaction experience in M&A, capital markets, or restructuring
  • Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and accounting proficiency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable in high visibility, smaller team setting
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Bloomberg and other financial information tools
  • Demonstrable ties to Los Angeles or Southern California strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing companies, industries, capital structures, liquidity profiles, historical financial statements, and projected financial information
  • Building financial models and performing valuation analyses
  • Conducting industry and company research
  • Managing and executing due diligence
  • Preparing presentations, board materials, and other client-facing materials
  • Reviewing analyst work product and coordinating day-to-day transaction execution
  • Interfacing directly with clients, counterparties, counsel, and other advisors
  • Leveraging AI tools to maximize efficiency
