Wellesley College is seeking an Investment Analyst to join its Investment Office, which manages the College's endowment valued at $2.8 billion as of June 30, 2022. This full-time position is designed for recent graduates and graduating seniors, offering a unique opportunity to gain extensive exposure to institutional investing. The role is set to begin in the summer of 2025, and candidates must reside in the Boston metro area. After an initial training period, the Investment Analyst will have the flexibility to work remotely two days a week. As an integral member of the investment team, the Investment Analyst will report to the Deputy Chief Investment Officer (CIO) while also collaborating with the entire team. The position involves working across various asset classes and includes responsibilities such as conducting manager due diligence, monitoring performance, and performing extensive quantitative and qualitative investment research. The Analyst will be tasked with analyzing current and prospective managers, reviewing their performance against benchmarks, conducting performance attribution and exposure analysis, and preparing background information for team meetings with managers. Additionally, the Analyst will represent the College at partnership meetings and review legal documents related to investments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong desire to learn and grow within the investment field, staying updated on market news and industry practices. This role requires a detail-oriented, accountable individual who can thrive in a small, high-performing team environment. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, along with strong organizational abilities, are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required, and adherence to a strict code of ethics is mandatory. Occasional travel may be necessary as part of the role.
