Investment Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious Investment Analyst to join the hedge fund allocation group that sits within a larger $3b+ hedge fund operation. This role offers meaningful exposure to the financial markets, manager sourcing, due diligence, portfolio construction and risk management. The ideal candidate is a high functioning self-starter who is able to effectively collaborate within a small team setting. The individual should possess strong analytical rigor, attention to detail and the ability to synthesize both quantitative and qualitative metrics into clear, actionable investment insights/recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BS, BA) required
- 0-4 years of experience in the financial industry
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in Excel and foundational knowledge of statistical and financial concepts
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of objectivity, integrity and professional judgment
Nice To Haves
- Internship experience, graduate degree and/or professional designation (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop and cultivate market contacts to source and evaluate new investment opportunities
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative due diligence on external hedge fund managers across multiple strategies
- Monitor existing manager relationships, including performance, risk and organizational developments
- Maintain internal research databases and documentation with precision and confidentiality
- Collaborate with investment, legal and operational due diligence teams
- Prepare written reports that support portfolio construction and capital allocation decisions
- Some domestic and/or international travel may be required for on-site due diligence
