About The Position

American Century is seeking to hire a talented individual to participate in its Investment Analyst Summer Associate program. In this program, qualified individuals will rotate through various strategies within American Century’s Kansas City-based Value Equity and Growth Equity teams, gaining access to leading portfolio management teams and providing actionable fundamental research support to those teams in an effort to drive superior client outcomes. This hybrid position will be based out of our Kansas City Headquarters office. This program is for currently enrolled MBA (or equivalent) students. The deadline to apply is November 1, 2025.

Requirements

• Highly curious, motivated, intelligent and self-starting, with the ability to work independently and as a teammate.
• Willing to internalize and implement American Century's differentiated investment process.
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in written form with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Creative, open-minded, logical, determined, and highly ethical.
• Flexible and suited to covering multiple sectors.
• Analytical and able to perform detailed and cogent research.

Nice To Haves

• Experience covering stocks.
• MBA or equivalent.
• CFA.

Responsibilities

• Research and model common stocks, presently owned and potential new investments, recommending purchases and sales.
• Analyze industry groups or other investment themes as requested by portfolio managers.
• Facilitate preparation of analytical data for weekly equity investment meetings.
• Attend and participate in investment company presentations and weekly equity investment meetings.
