About The Position

Who we’re looking for The Investment Analyst is part of the secondaries team which is currently a team of nine working from the firm’s Zurich, New York, Singapore and Beijing offices. The hire is expected to play a key role in all aspects of our secondaries business with a special focus on North American investment opportunities. There will be close collaboration with the whole investment team across Europe, USA and Asia. Requirements

  • BA Degree
  • Zero to three years of full-time experience in a finance, investment or strategy consulting-oriented role; work experience in Private Equity investing, corporate finance or banking a strong plus
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • An excellent understanding of financial statements, financial concepts, and financial modelling
  • Excellent communication skills (written / verbal / presentation)
  • An ability to integrate rapidly and to work effectively in a multicultural team of professionals
  • An ability to manage multiple responsibilities and time-sensitive deliverables with a high degree of quality and accuracy
  • A high level of curiosity, strong discipline, and attention to detail
  • Fluent in English, other European languages a strong plus
  • A flexible, adaptable and collaborative team player with a positive and “can do” attitude
  • Creative and prepared to think outside the box; willing to take the initiative and to present solutions rather than problems
  • Thrives under pressure while maintaining a high level of personal and professional integrity

Responsibilities

  • Support execution of investment due diligence of global secondaries opportunities, encompassing sourcing, assessment, valuation and modelling of various transaction types with a particular focus on North American GP-led transactions, and complex structured transactions
  • Perform detailed asset-level financial analysis and forward-looking modelling, assessing expected returns under multiple scenarios
  • Conduct industry research and develop insights relevant for secondaries and GP-led transactions
  • Support preparation of investment recommendations to the Schroders Capital Investment Committee
  • Development of relationships with industry participants, including secondaries advisors
  • Performing portfolio analysis and monitoring of closed investments including AGM attendance and regular GP / management update calls
  • Collaborate with other teams and departments on existing investments
  • External representation of firm towards GPs and other market participants
  • Support preparation of client pitches and requests, and development of new marketing material
  • Responsible for data management and report preparation
  • Support development and improvement of secondaries models and due diligence processes
  • E-front logging of North American secondary transactions
